Preparation guide – Carpet beetles
Preparing textiles and sensitive items properly allows the technician to treat the affected areas effectively.

Before our visit
- Isolate clothes, curtains, textiles and sensitive items in sealed bags.
- Sort the items that may be affected: rugs, cushions, throws, clothes, textiles, etc.

Can be done between the 2 visitsPossible treatment:
- Washing at 60°C for at least 30 minutes
- Tumble dryer: 30 minutes on a high setting
- Freezer: around -20°C for 5 days, for suitable items and textiles
If several visits are planned, textiles can be treated between the two visits and must be finished before the second visit.
- Remove plants and pets when the treatment used requires it.

During our visit

The technician chooses the appropriate method according to the level of infestation and the layout of the home.

After the treatment
- Keep treated belongings in sealed bags until the end of the treatment is confirmed.
- Put clothes and items back only when the technician tells you the treatment is complete.
- Fill cracks and gaps that could encourage a new infestation, if necessary.
- Follow the cleaning and airing instructions given by the technician.
